They will not go quietly,
the cats who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survive.
Old habits still make us think
we hear a meow at the door.
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.

Truffles was a very sweet and loving kitty who went to the Rainbow Bridge at 5 years old , so young. I still miss him and there will always be a very special place in my heart for him.
I have this photo of Truffles near the web and also have a beautiful water color painting of him so I do think of him every day. I hope Truffles is playing with all the other kitties here in the beautiful meadows over the Rainbow Bridge.
