| While You Were Gone... | I didn't do it, mom,
It's not true, you see,
I don't know why Bart
Would tell such things on me.
I'll tell you how it was
While you were gone to town,
I never climbed the drapes,
Nor did I tear them down!
I never jumped on the table,
And knocked the big lamp over,
Bart did it, I swear,
And he's using me for cover!
I never pulled the table cloth,
So things came crashing down,
I swear, mom, I was very good,
While you were gone to town.
I didn't find the toilet paper,
And pull it off the roll,
Bart or Kitty one did that,
Oh, gosh, I shouldn't have told!
They've been here longer,
They surely don't like me,
I didn't do it, mom,
It's a conspiracy!! |

| Why Not, I Ask! | Kitties like to scrunch and scooch
In many, many places,
In closets, bags and boxes small
Sometimes on our faces.
They slowly saunter everywhere
They never need a map.
With that in mind, I ask you now
Why can't they find my lap!? |

He came to visit, one fine day
And soon decided, he would stay.
A gorgeous, long haired tiger cat
He stole my heart and that was that!
From that day on, until the end,
He was my constant, faithful friend.
I gave him all the love I had,
But all too soon he had to leave.
Remembering him, I do not grieve,
I know we`ll meet again someday.
We`ll run and jump, play hide and seek,
We`ll be so happy, we need not speak.
At Rainbow Bridge, we find our friends,
The joy and laughter never ends! |

Sleep Like A Cat |
Should I find a way
To sleep like a cat,
I'd feel really fine
And that would be that.
Eyes closed or half open
I'd find a position.
Off smoothly to dreamland
Would be my one mission.
Soon I'd be rolling
Around in warm grass
Dead to the world
Cares I'd let pass.
Nobody would know
I was lost in a Catdream
They'd think I'd most surely
Just run out of steam.
Nobody would guess
I was chasing a mouse
Around and in corners
All over the house.
All in slow motion
I'd chase lots of things
Creatures with tails
And creatures with wings.
I don't thnk I would catch them
Why would that matter?
My ears would be up,
My teeth they would chatter.
Soon I'd be finished
With my kitty sleep,
And though it was short
And not terribly deep.
I'd wake up refreshed
After that cat fun
And look after things
That need to be done.
So if you are weary
And have a few kinks
Why not be a cat
And take 40 winks!? |

Now I lay me down to sleep,
Two cats at my head,
Three more at my feet.
A tail in my face,
A paw in my back,
O, there's nothing like having
A bed full of cats! |

WHAT IS A MOTHER |
A mother is someone who's always there.
A mother is someone who really cares.
A mother is someone who stays up all night,
Just to make sure you get home all right.
A mother is someone who's always in a hurry,
But somehow finds the time to worry.
A mother is someone who's always alert,
To feel her kid's anger, pain, and hurt.
A mother is someone you could always ask,
To do the biggest or littlest of tasks.
A mother is someone who understands.
Always worried about your future, she's got a plan.
A mother is a special person who knows,
That you make some mistakes as you grow.
Although you turn your back, she lets time take it's toll,
And when things work out wrong doesn't say, "told you so."
But instead, takes you back in a warm embrace,
And puts a smile back on your face.
On this special day I thank God for my mother,
For I could never want any other.
Through the worst of times she's kept hope alive.
Without her, it would have never survived.
I love my mother, that's easy to see.
I love my mother and my mother loves me. |
